Kivisaari welcomes both day visitors and longer staying guests. The island is easy to reach by shuttle bus, and a wide range of services await you at your destination to make your day out an experience. You can enjoy good food, take a sauna by the sea and discover the history of the island. If you want to stay longer, the accommodation options offer a unique experience – you can even sleep in a villa designed by Eliel Saarinen!

Kivisaari Restaurant

Kivisaari restaurant serves delicious flavours in an archipelago atmosphere. Choose a delicious lunch or enjoy à la carte dishes in a maritime setting. The island has two restaurant spaces – for 30 and 50 people – which are also suitable for private events. Come and enjoy good food and stunning scenery!

Guidance

On guided tours of Kivisaari, you can learn about the fascinating history and unique nature of the island from a knowledgeable guide. The tours are conducted in Finnish and English and offer a deeper insight into the island’s stories and attractions. This is the perfect way to experience the unique atmosphere of the Kivu Island!

Sauna

The Kivisaari sauna is the perfect place to relax by the sea. The sauna, which seats around 10 people, offers soft baths and the pier provides direct access to the refreshing sea water. You can take part in public shifts or hire the sauna for private use. The sauna is included in certain accommodation bookings, so book your place and enjoy the island atmosphere!

Other island services

There is also a free-use barbecue area on Kivisaari, with fire equipment and firewood on hand. In the island’s outdoor play area, you can challenge your friends to boules, outdoor ping-pong and other fun games!
